BINGO! Engage students with this fun bingo review game for A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry!

How It Works

  • Read a clue to students and have them give the correct word, then they mark the word on their cards.
  • Repeat giving the clues at random until someone gets bingo (5 in a row).
  • Swap cards and play again!

Includes

  • Instructions
  • Clue Sheet with answers
  • 32 different bingo cards

Save Time

Clues, words, and cards are already made, saving you hours of work!

Save Money

Great alternative to buying the whole A Raisin in the Sun Puzzle Pack if you just want the bingo review game!

Hands-On Activity

  • Engages students with hands-on activity!
  • Students have to pay attention and actually mark their cards as they play the game.
  • No time for mind-drifting or daydreaming (or just waiting for their turn to answer a question)

Substitute Teacher Resource

Great to have on hand for when you need a quick thing a substitute teacher can pick up and do for part or all of a class

Re-Useable

  • If you laminate the cards, you can use them over and over again for years.
  • Not into laminating? Print on card stock, and they'll be good for many uses!

Swap and Play Again

Play multiple times in a class period. Just have students swap cards, and start again!

Notes

This is best-used after students have read the whole book, so students will be able to "get" the clue answers.

You could use it part-way through the book if you just use the answer words and not the clues.

The cards are printed two to a page (to save paper), so if you have a small class, students can play two cards. If you have more than 16 students, just cut the pages in half to make individual cards.

Copyright

Remember...these are copyrighted materials licensed for one teacher's own classroom use.

Print and use them all you want for your own students in your own classroom, but please (especially at this cheap price) don't share with other teachers.

Also, please do not use the words and clues in any online commercial resource like Quizlet or Boom Learning, for example (or any others). This makes answers available to all students, everywhere...and undermines the work of myself and other teachers. (And it violates my copyrights, subjecting you to copyright violation penalties.)
