LitPlan Revisions Continue

Last year we started updating all of the LitPlans. Why?

  • To remove archaic references to things like filmstrips and overhead projectors
  • To include more appropriate terms like using media center and Internet instead of or along with library
  • To include use of more technology (which didn't exist when some of the LitPlans were originally written!)
  • To "beef up" lessons we feel are lacking and/or to add more robust resources
  • To fix typos and miscellaneous issues we find while re-proofreading the LitPlans (I can't believe that in all these years, no one has alerted us to these things!)
  • To include more helpful graphic organizers and similar resources where possible

As we complete the revisions, we are posting the new editions to the tpet.com website.

Since many of you purchased LitPlans years ago or even just more than 90 days ago, your links to the products will have expired. However, I really want you to be able to have the revised LitPlans if you want or need them.

Let me know if you want a FREE updated LitPlan for a title you have already purchased.

  • If you purchased from tpet.com on or after September of 2016, I will have easy access to check proof of purchase on tpet.com. In fact, the order receipt should still be in your account, and you don't need more than that.
  • If you purchased prior to September of 2016, I still have access to archived orders for proof of purchase from about 2007 to 2016 if you purchased on tpet.com. If I can't find your records in the archives, you will need proof of purchase.
  • If you ordered from tpet.com prior to 2007 or from Prestwick House during 2010-2013, I will not have proof of purchase available, and you will need to provide that--in some way other than just showing me you have a copy (which could have come from anywhere). If you do not have proof of purchase, contact me to tell me your circumstances, and I will make a case-by-case determination of free, discounted price, or full price for the revised edition.

We are working alphabetically through the LitPlan title list. To date, we have made revisions on all LitPlans through Julie of the Wolves. As we worked our way through the revisions, we refined the process, so that by the time we got to the alphabetically listed "G and H" titles, we were making pretty extensive revisions and had the process down better. We will likely go back and revisit A-F titles when we get through Wuthering Heights.

Older LitPlans are having more revisions done than the newer ones. It's amazing to me how much we have learned over the years about our craft--and I am so pleased to finally be able to bring you updated LitPlans that reflect what we have learned.

Contact me if you have questions or would like the updated pdf files as we go through the revisions.

Whether you are new to Teacher's Pet Publications or have been with me from the beginning--or somewhere in between--I sincerely thank you for your business. It's always a pleasure talking with customers and being of whatever help I can be to you, as a support to those of you on "the front lines."
