    Very minimal

Posted by Jenni B. on May 14th 2025

This guide is very generic. Basically just a collection of vocabulary words (with page numbers that don’t correctly match the book) and simple comprehension discussion questions. I could have easily found the vocabulary words and thought of such simple questions on my own. There are VERY few activity suggestions. The ones that are given are pretty boring and mostly unrelated to any language arts skills. This was a waste of money. . . Teacher's Pet Publications Reply: The Novel Units guides are basic which is why they are cheaper than a lot of other guides. We have to pay a royalty on the sale because it is not one of our products, but if you contact customerservice@tpet.com, we can discuss a partial refund.
