This is a helpful and time-saving resource. However, there are two major drawbacks. (1) The approach to literature is old. The focus is primarily on factual, low level thinking rather than higher order critical thinking. Project-based learning and student choice is really the way literature is taught these days. In addition, emphasis is now on literary criticism and objectives which teach broad concepts about all literature such as perspective, cultural understanding, textual structures, etc. I would suggest working closely with an educator who has developed these approaches. For example, there could be a section on perspectives in the novel and how they represent different aspects of Afghani culture. There would be activities to help students develop this understanding. Among those activities would be some student choices - especially for summative assessment tasks.
The second drawback is that many of the questions and 'answers' are already present on the Internet - usually quizlet - and busy students submit those answers rather than look at the questions in terms of their teacher's approach. I won't buy another teaching unit from this company until those changes happen.
